Free Yourself
When
most people think of the consequences of being overweight, they think
first of the physical drawbacks. Certainly, the potential health risks
of being overweight are well-documented, but the associated emotional
issues should also be well-noted. Nearly all overweight individuals struggle
with their self-esteem. Daily, we are bombarded with images of beautiful
and thin individuals in the media. We are made to believe that thin is
the only acceptable and desirable way to be. An overweight person is left
to feel unattractive and unwanted. This constant struggle to feel good
about our appearance can take a major toll on our self-esteem. A poor
sense of self worth can easily escalate into depression making day-to-day
life extremely difficult. Fortunately, poor self-esteem can be overcome.
Individuals, who have found success with a weight loss routine, often
report a positive increase in their confidence level. Suddenly, life becomes
new and exciting again. Losing weight can significantly improve your quality
of life, starting with how you feel about yourself. It’s the first step
towards a new and improved you!
Be Nice to your Body
In the age of fast-paced and fast-food lifestyles, a staggering number
of individuals struggle with their weight. The cases of people falling
seriously ill or even dying from weight issues continue to mount. There
is a number of health risks associated with being overweight which include
the following:
- Type 2 diabetes
- Coronary heart disease
- Hypertension
- Sleep apnea
- Breast cancer
- Female infertility…
And the list goes on. By losing weight, you can significantly decrease
your chances of developing an illness that could be potentially life threatening.
No human body is indestructible. Commit yourself to a long and healthy
life.
Do What you Want, When you Want
Unless you have lived as an overweight individual, it is difficult to
appreciate how difficult some of life’s simple daily routines can be.
With excess weight, a supposedly enjoyable trip to the mall can become
unpleasant. Walking around the stores can be arduous and climbing a set
of stairs can be tiring. Unfortunately, many people become inactive because
of their physical limitations which often results in an increase in body
size due to the lack of exercise. When your ability to move easily and
travel freely is negatively affected, you might want to consider liberating
yourself from the burden of weight and enjoy the freedom of the new, healthier
you!
